SSC CHSL 10+2 2016 Exam Dates, Application Form

SSC CHSL 2016 Latest Notice

SSC CHSL 2016 Latest Notification has released, Application form can be filled from 8th October 2016. Candidate can apply for CHSL 2016 till 7th November 2016.  The Staff Selection Commission will hold an examination for Recruitment of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistants, Data Entry Operators (DEO), Lower Division Clerk (LDC) and Court Clerk during the period of 7th January 2017 to 5th February 2017.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality / Citizenship

  1. A Candidate must be either:
  2. A citizen of India, or
  3. A subject of Nepal, or
  4. A subject of Bhutan, or
  5. A Tibetan refugee who came to India, before the 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently setting in India, or
  6. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lank, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic and Vietnam with the intention of Permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

18-27 years as on 1st January 2017 (Candidates born not before 2nd January 1990 and not later than 1stJanuary 1999).


Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ExS/PH categories will be applicable as per extant Government Orders.

Recruitment Procedure

The Recruitment procedure of SSC CHSL consists of two stages- written examination and skill test or typing test. The successful candidates of stage I (written examination called for the stage II (skill test or typing test). The SSC CHSL 2016 gives an opportunity to eligible candidates to get recruited at the posts of LDC (Lower Division Clerk) and DEO (Data Entry Operator) in numerous central govt. offices.

Exam Pattern

The candidates are required to appear in the written exam for SSC CHSL 2016 Exam as conducted on the specified dates. Applicants will get 2 hours to solve the question paper and negative marking will be of one-fourth per question. The written examination is based on objective type questions on the following main topics.

  • The question paper will be divided into 4 sections- English language, General Awareness, General Intelligence and Quantitative aptitude.
  • There will be total 50 questions allotted to each section and the total marks for each section will be 50.
  • The duration of the examination will be 2 hours. The questions will be of MCQ type.
  • The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English language for Section I, III and IV.
  • There will be a penalty of ¼ marks for each wrong answer.

SSC CHSL Admit Card

SSC is going to conduct SSC CHSL 2016 examination this year. The appearing applicants can download their admit cards from the official website of SSC that will be released in the 1st week of September 2016.
